:-/It is probably too late now but have the administrators of this site ever considered hosting live public events, forums, like the ones that are not open to the public. This would let people go to the events, if it is advertised, and ask questions to see the candidates live responses and how they really act instead of taking time to think about it. I thought about this after seeing the post on candidates corner today. What a shame so early and no media coverage.I bet it was intentional.

Angel,
We have, in fact, bantered about the idea of having a live chat event, where candidates and citizens can correspond live, and in real time.
The logistics of organizing an in-person session at this late date might be next to impossible, as some administrators are out of town, and others work 10+ hour days. To find and rent a proper venue, contact the candidates, and get the word out to the public so they can participate with just 10 days left before the election, could prove to be an exercise in futility, as most likely major schedule clashes would arise.
However, I'm all for exploring an in-person forum, if not this year, then certainly next year. And we are still considering opening up a live chat event, to at least give citizens and candidates one last chance to interact with each other, and have the live conversations that we've all seem to have been denied.
We'll make an announcement on this forum, as well as the CAofAC.org website, if we're able to organize a live chat event before election day, so please check back.
Thank you!

Howard, don't you think maybe the council and mayor should put on a forum for the candidates?

angel, this is beyond the scope of their duties. in fact they would probably shun the idea because they would be inviting their opponents into the ring and would almost encourage an anythying goes bout. my wife won't let me sling mud so, I have to be a good boy.

Howard, Well that's good she makes you play fair. I feel if you can't play fair and you have to play dirty then it just makes you look bad and shows people what kind of a person you really are. So keep up the honest and good sportsmanship you doing.
