Can anyone confirm or put to the rest the issue of whether Dennis Harris, Maintenance Supervisor, and Carl Reichert, Sheriff's Deputy and repeated contract/bid winner for snow removal at county facilities are related? There seems to be a consensus that these two have family ties which would then beg the question why Dennis Harris is the one recommending award of the contract to one of his relatives. Carl Reichert (not sure of spelling) was again awarded the contract for snow removal this year as last year. With the contract last year there were several instances where the former Heartland Home had been left unplowed and created issues. Although this will not be an issue this year as Heartland Home is now the Service Center and will be plowed by the maintenance department, the question still remains, why is the maintenance supervisor recommending contracts be awarded to a relative?
