This is just to get a few things going before I head off to another adventure for today. Yesterday's article infuriated me and made me thing of calling a few people a not very nice name that rhymes with glass bowl. Can anyone shed light on why Mrs. Hange chose to vent at the Commissioners meeting? It appears she is trying to save herself or was promised something if she voiced her opinion at the meeting. I have my own opinions but would like to see others ideas. Right now the Commissioners have apparently read their history because the first lesson of holding elected office 101, is always defect blame and put the spotlight on someone else. They got it with Hange's remarks.

>:(I really don't know anyone that is not very upset about Mrs. Hange's comments. That she would actually say the staff was more concerned with being laid off than the residents is ridiculous. Anybody who knows even half of the staff knows this is a lie. I have my own thoughts of this as well, and it has more to do with the idea of "divide and conquer". I still believe the attempt is out there to disban the group by dividing us. It is up to us whether we let that happen.

A few things have been going on in my mind lately. I have had conversations with a few people who talked to those of Community Activists Of Ashland County at the Wal Mart last week. I am amazed at the support that is coming out in support of this group. In fact, I have had folks ask if I knew how to get copies of the budget and expenditures. Others were amazed at the size of the budget and how easy it was to hide things in them. I can't believe the number of people who have told me they voted for each one of them but would never vote for them again. The next election cycle can not come quick enough for them. I have heard one person mention that anyone who voted for any or all of these people should be on their knees in front of the toilet throwing up. I voted for them and each has disappointed me more than the normal disagreements we have with our elected officials.

>:(Like I have said before, these Commissioners are running this county like it is their own private business. They have no understanding of what team work is all about and don't include the citizens or even department heads in their decision process. They seem to have no concern for what their decisions will do to or how they affect the average citizen. This has to change or we will cease to exist as a county.

I can tell you from experience that Mrs. Hange's comments were not truthful to say the least! She had worked at Heartland Home and then left to go to another nursing home in Ashland, better benefits, and then came back and asked for her job back because she missed the people she worked with and the residents. Plus, she brought her mother-in-law to Heartland Home as a resident..when she found the commissioners were closing the facility, she moved her family member to another facility but continued to work at Heartland Home. Now, if you had so much anger and disliked it so much, would you continue to work there? Would you have come and asked to have a job again, and also brought in another resident? There is an agenda behind her comments, not sure what or where it is coming from, but rest assured there is a reason! There is much more to this story!

Katie seems to confirm what I have thought. She has cut a deal with someone - commissioners maybe? What, perhaps, Mrs. Hange does not know is employers will have a long memory of her comments and she will have a hard time getting hired anywhere because of those comments. Especially if they find out what Katie has said. I wouldn't hire her!
