:'(With chapter one of Heartland Home closed, we need to fight to open chapter two and make sure that chapter continues. We ALL have to fight to reopen this home. ALL of us here at Community Activists of Ashland County are saddened by this and ours hearts and prayers go out to all of the employees, residents and residents families. None of you should have had to go through this heartbreak. As stated in one of the Times-Gazette articles, you have all bee through the loss of a family member. We love you all and will still fight for you.

>:(Contrary to the statement read today at the Commissioners meeting, Heartland Home has NEVER been a hostile environment nor has there ever been any sense of hatred amongst the employees or residents. These statements were very hurtful to those who put their hearts into this wonderful home and did everything in their power to help the residents and their families.
This community has lost a very vital part of its structure. The fact that this home had survived so much in its history and was not able to survive the axe of these Commissioners does not say good things about our Commissioners.
Now we need to regroup and strive to bring a county home back into our community. It is such a necessary part of the county, obviously or the taxpayers would not have built it in the first place.
