???Amazing that the Prosecuting Attorney is complaining about being treated like a child by Judge Sweeney but then her complaints remind you of a 5 year old crying because the other kid got more candy. If you act and react like a child, then a child is what people will treat you like. Just because she didn't her way doesn't mean she should turn around and use OUR county dollars to try and get this Judge removed. Take your lumps like a woman and fight your case. If you did nothing wrong during the first trial, then you should not have a problem getting the same result this time.

She has changed a great deal in the last several years and not for the better. She has become a my way or the highway type of person in many ways and it is disappointing because she is a good person.

Well, the old saying that we all change with age, may be true with our Prosecutor. She has become a very aggressive, persistant person. Her only thought seems to be to WIN the case and do whatever is necessary to make sure she wins. She really does have a heart, although that side of her character does not show very often, and definitely not when she is the Prosecuting Attorney. Perhaps it is time she returned to private practice.

I liked her much better when she balanced the toughness of a prosecutor with a good heart that was gentle and kind when needed.

As someone on the inside, who has to remain anonymous, I can tell you that the prosecutor is into winning at all costs. Ask local attorneys, they will tell you. it is wrong, and she is not doing what the ethics say she is supposed to do, which is seek justice. and why does it take six months for someone to get indicted after they commit a crime? Those are drug dealers dealing for another six months untill she gets around to indicting them.

Perhaps it makes a difference who is getting indicted......her relative apparently didn't fit the mold and it may take a long time, and maybe never! Perhaps that is why she is the way she is. When you look at her, even her picture, you can see that ethics don't seem to matter, just WIN at any cost to everyone but her! Justice is what we are seeking, and it doesn't seem that is on her agenda. I am sorry, I was always under the impression that she had a good heart, but "guest" you have told it like it is I am sure!

i dont know about a relative, but i do know that some of the defense attorneys get much better deals than others, because she has her favorites. the ones who flirt with her do better. if she doesnt like the attorney then the client is screwed. so much for justice.

Flirt with her? WOW! but I can see it. An old battle tactic is find your enemy's weakness and exploit it! She might be at the age of a midlife crisis where she feels unwanted and unattractive. In that case every attorney should come into her office with candy and flowers. Of coarse some of us wouldn't need that because we have the best weapon possible, a golden tongue and used wisely, can get you more than candy and flowers ever could - but attorneys don't think that way. Leave to an ordinary commoner to say this!!! Any bets that this blog on the TG wouldn't last too long?

:oUpon investigation, it would appear that a case did come across the desk of our Prosecuting Attorney and rather than removing herself for bias, she simply opted not to bring this to the grand jury or pursue the case. I guess it really is who you know. This in view of the heartless rampage she brought to the "boys" who acted like boys and engaged in a boxing match. I hope she can look at herself in the mirror each day, I know I wouldn't be able to.

With the TG breaking news, she has another notch in her conviction belt with one of the boys being sentenced to 4 years in prison.

HMMM! If that is public record, should it be brought out - especially how she is treating others?

:oI think what the Prosecuting Attorney is doing with this case is a shame. This appears to be nothing more than a bunch of teenage boys in a boxing match that got out of control. And we wonder why our county budget is so high? Maybe Dunn's attorney should have flirted more and sprung for some flowers or candy!!! ;D
And now what is next? The sad thing about this is that she has just ruined another young man's life and is going after more!!! Maybe she should take care of her own out of control son before destroying someone else's sons life. I couldn't be happier that she is apparently thinking of not running again. I just hope she doesn't end up in an even higher position. We need to use our voices at the polling places to keep this woman out of office of any type in our county.

I have heard some scuttlebut about that and wish I could find the evidence that supports it. That would be a real kick in the pants for her. I am also hearing things like she has made other things go away also.

Has anyone heard anything about a suit pending against the prosecutor? It has been rumored around, and just checking to see if this is truth or fiction. If it is true, then seems like someone should be able to find out about it, should be public record, shouldn't it?

>:(This is true Katie!!! Anyone can go to the clerk of court website and do a search using Rogers, Ramona as the search name. The case was filed in January 2008 but I haven't seen anything about it in the TG, have you?

???I just pulled the case I referred to at the courthouse and as it turns out this has to do with the Adam Welch law. It would appear that the Attorney General and our own Prosecuting Attorney are applying this law retroactively to those in the county who have already served their entire court orders. In this particular case, the person filing the suit was not required to serve any prison or jail time, the conviction is almost 7 years old and all court orders have long ago been completed. The original case was not even in this county but this person has since relocated to Ashland County and is being made to register as a tier 3 sex offender when the original judge did not believe this person to be one likely to re-offend and did not require further registration. This seems to me to be double jeopardy. This person has already served all court orders long ago and should not be subject to additional requirements this long after the original case. Yet another injustice!!!!
