For anyone who is a customer of Amerigas, watch your bill. If you consume 100 gallons or more of fuel in a 12 month period, you should not be charged tank rental. We are Amerigas customers and used 258 gallons of fuel in 2009. On our January bill we were charged $160 + tax rental fee for our tank. If you have been charged this rental and used 100 gallons or more in the 12 month period preceding, you need to call and contest this charge. This company is doing this because they can and for every charge that is not caught, that is that much more in their pocket and out of yours. It is not just here in Ashland County. A friend of ours is also an Amerigas customer and lives in Medina County. The same charge appeared on their bill and they had a fill in the summer that was over 100 gallons for that fill alone.
Just a friendly word to those who use this company, question this rental charge if you have used 100 gallons or more in the preceding 12 month period.
