Angel, I am an emotional person and emotion can drive my bus. However, I also feel that even venting can and should be done in a way that is publicly civil but being human it doesn't always happen. Sometimes that is why a pet is good because you can "vent" and get all the vinegar out and they will never tell anyone else and many times I just need someone to listen because in talking I figure out my plan of action. Also most pets give you unconditional love which is hard for most humans to do!
Lastly I agree the statement to Mr. Scanlan could have been stated different. Having run for elected office once, I realized from a very personal perspective the verbal assaults made on me in the heat of an election. After the election they told me it wasn't personal - kinda like when most people say with all due respect, it isn't.

I do agree and the last sentence was uncalled for, what chloep said. I was looking around tonight and would like to say aomething else. It could have been said a little better but the question to miss tunnel was civil in my eyes. did you look at the accsation to mister scanlan about the alley, that was worse than the question to her. It is crunch time and all the big guns are being pulled out. I am sure most have made up the mind already the rest is just hot air. Unless they cuss or make lies up I think a little venting is normal. I just hope people go to vote, no matter how it turns out I have learned a lot here. Angel, I'm not going to spend much time addressing the Scanlan & Tunnell threads on the L-P thread. Suffice to say that there is a HUGE difference between "venting" and mud-slinging. I stepped in on the Scanlan thread, as I did on the Tunnell thread, and as I did on this thread. We also do not ban cussing on these threads, and because we don't I can say this. These forums will not spiral down into an ad hominem tu quoque pissing contest. It. Stops. Now. I'd rather ban the IP addresses of the few involved and be done with it, than expect the people who volunteer their time moderating here to run a baby sitting service. Thank you. It would be nice if people would stop trying to look at their home as an investment and treat it for what it really is, a home. To try to look at your residence as an investment is ignoring that a home is usually one of the worst investments you can make. If you took a loan out for $100k at 7% interest then in 6 years you pay over $66k in interest. Those are realistic numbers for 6 years ago. Even if the market gained then everyone gained close to the same percentage. When values rise then the for the same house a person has to borrow more and pay more money in interest. The only way to invest in a home and make money is if you bought 30 years ago at great prices or you pay cash and have no loan. Again with these inflated property values means everyone pays more in taxes. By the way that same loan if paid on for 30 years means that you would pay almost $240k on that house before it is paid off. Sounds like a bad investment since you pay interest, taxes, and insurance along the way.
